SANTA CLARITA, CA. - The Pali Blues scored three first half goals and never looked back defeating the Santa Clarita Blue Heat 6-1 on Sunday afternoon in Western Conference play.

Fresh off a victory against the LA Strikers on Friday night, the Blue Heat played came out with momentum but couldn't capitalize on the momentum. Pali's attack was on full display all game and while the Blue Heat defense played well, they couldn't contain the constant pressure.

Pali’s Elizabeth Eddy, Ashley Nick, and Samantha Mewis each scored first half goals en route to a 3-0 halftime lead.

The second half showed a much stronger offense for the Blue Heat as they looked to get forward, which created many more opportunities. The pressure paid off as Ana Borges bagged her first of the season off of the assist by Rhianne Parsons.

In the end Pali’s solid defense stopped the Blue Heat from further damage and the Blue Heat lost 6-1. The Blue Heat will now get back to work and prepare for their Friday's night's home game against the Sounders Women.
